A) They are owned and operated by different companies. Rocketmail
was launched by Yahoo Inc. in 2008. ListRocket
was launched by Vandenberg Media Inc.
in January of 2006.
Q) How does Rocketmail
differ from ListRocket?
A) Rocketmail was
launched as a supplement to the already popular Yahoo email. Users will
be able to register as yourname@rocketmail.com
if that name was already taken on the yahoo.com domain. ListRocket is
designed specifically as an email list manager used to ensure that
your email blasts will be received by as many people as possible.
Q) Can't I send an email blast from Rocketmail as easily as ListRocket?
A) No, Rocketmail is designed primarily for one-to-one email
communications and is not designed to send email blasts. ListRocket
allows you to send to as
many people as you have in
your email list at once, and most importantly, will report on all
aspects of
your email send, including email opens, bounces,
clickthroughs, etc.
Q) Can I used Rocketmail and ListRocket together?

Yes. ListRocket offers a features called RocketProxy that allows you to
send to your list via a special email address associated with your list
in ListRocket. This will allow you to compose your message is
Rocketmail and send it to this special email address. ListRocket will
in turn forward your message to your email list as a blast.
