What you'll be talking about at IRDC

What you'll be talking about at IRDC

Tables are filling for IRDC's Networking Roundtable Lunches, held the first two days of the conference, September 7 and 8. And because you indicate your choice of tables/topics when you register (not when lunch is about to begin), it's a good idea to register early.

That's because hot topics such as Social media & store design: how to integrate and Visual merchandising trends and ideas will likely fill quickly. And with good reason.

"If you're shopping for an engagement ring at Tiffany, a store suggestive of a fairy tale castle, then you assume a certain role with a certain sense of duty. You are a knight in shining armor.

Desigual

Barcelona-based fashion label Desigual has 200 stores worldwide, but only seven in the U.S., including the two-level Union Square flagship that opened in February. They've plans for major growth, though, so expect to see more of them in the coming months.

Known for lavish opening parties (the SF store drew 600) and come-in-your-undies sales events, the colorful brand's store design is all about stimulating the senses.
