Orquesta Kandela Showcases "Women in Salsa!" Sunday, April 3 

Orquesta KandelaCincinnati's All-Female Salsa Band opens its 2011 season with a special show honoring Women of Salsa! Celebrating Salsa Le Femme: the music of Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, La India, Carolina LaO, Albita, La Lupe, Arabella, Brenda K. Starr, Milly Quezada, Olga Taon and more!

Free dance lessons! Hot Latin Mix by special guest DJ DANI (courtesy Rebelde Nights). 7 pm - midnight, Sunday April 3. Live Music @ Poco a Poco on Wednesdays 

Poco a Poco presents live music on Wednesdays! Featuring a mix of Gypsy Jazz, Bossa Nova, Flamenco, Standards and Originals with The Three Casseroles: Sasha Strunjas, Sylvain Acher & Liz Wu.

Poco a Poco is a beautiful, casual tapas restaurant on Hyde Park Square, where patrons are encouraged to hang out with friends and taste a little of everything. If you're in the mood for a full entree, they have that too!

Vegan Wine and Chocolate Pairing April 8

Delicious wines and decadent chocolates will mingle at this special tasting! 

Featuring vegan wines poured by Plum Court and artisan chocolates by Chocolats LaTour.

Discover the flavor fireworks that can happen when pairing wine with chocolate!

Every attendee will also be eligible for a door prize of a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates. Remember to sign in at the door to enter the drawing!

Tribal Night @ Leapin Lizard April 21


Join us for one of the hottest events in town - Tribal Night at Leapin Lizard - a monthly evening of dance, drums, drink, food and more!

Featuring the fantastic Keshvar Project as well as open belly dance and drum jam. Bring a drum or just yourself! 

The event goes from 7-10 pm every third Thursday at Leapin Lizard, 726 Main Street, Covington. $5 cover. All ages and skill levels welcome. Open potluck, please feel free to bring an item to share (no drinks please).

Earth Day at Fountain Square Friday April 22

In celebration of Earth Day, Fountain Square will be hosting many local green vendors, as well as recognizing the winners of this year's Eco Sculpt contest.

Festivities will be held from 11 am - 1 pm at 5th and Vine downtown. Free and open to all ages!

Grandma Dirt CD Release April 22

Amy Ferguson was born in Cincinnati and spent her earlier years in Ohio. At age 18, she moved to New York City and began a career in modeling, which soon led her to acting and eventually moving to Los Angeles.

She is now a working actress living in LA. She performed in the feature films, "The Social Network," and "Garden State," among others. In her spare time, she writes original music, often inspired by her love for animals and her passion for nature.

She will be releasing her new CD, "Through the Pavement," from 8-9:30 pm at World Peace Yoga Studio, 268 Ludlow Ave, Cincinnati OH 45220. For more info, click here!

ThinkGREEN April 23

The third annual ThinkGREEN is an experience not to be missed! This fun and exciting family event featuring green vendors dedicated to providing information, products and services that help you live a greener lifestyle - everything from home and garden ideas to organic food, transportation options and much more. Make a day of it and bring your friends and family to learn how to "think GREEN".

In addition to the vendors, there will be food, face painting, a petting zoo and live music by Cesar Vanegas, Liz Wu and Grandma Dirt.
